Home Energy Rating System (HERS)

Home Energy Rating System (HERS)

All Home Creations new homes have a HERS Rating. The Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Index is the industry standard by which a home’s energy efficiency is measured. The HERS Index is the most in-depth assessment on home energy efficiency. This assessment takes into account all variables that can affect the energy efficiency of a home. These factors include: exterior walls, attic, windows, doors, heating and cooling systems, duct work, water heating systems, lighting, and appliances. Every Home Creations home is verified by the HERS home energy rating assessment, which is conducted by a certified RESNET energy rater.

Radiant Barrier Decking

Radiant Barrier Decking

Energy Efficiency Feature

Radiant barrier decking is a highly reflective material that reflects radiant heat, rather than absorbing radiant heat. This reduces radiant heat gain in the attic. This type of decking will help keep the temperature of your attic cooler on hot summer months and therefore creating less pressure on the HVAC system to work harder. Not to mention, your new home's attic will have less extreme temperature changes.

Low-E Thermalpane Tilt-In Vinyl Windows with Argon Gas

Low-E Thermalpane Tilt-In Vinyl Windows with Argon Gas

The low-E coating reduces the amount of UV rays in conditioned space. The space between the double panes is filled with Argon gas as opposed to air, which reduces the amount of heat loss, heat gain or heat radiation coming into your home. This can also prevent sun damage to your curtains and furniture.

LED Lights

LED Lights

All of the light fixtures in our new homes include LED light bulbs. These LED light bulbs have many benefits such as: more energy efficient, ecologically friendly, durable, longer lasting, zero UV emissions, and the use of lower voltage; just to name a few.

R-44 Attic Insulation

R-44 Attic Insulation

R-44 attic insulation is used to help regulate temperature, which keeps your home comfortable and energy efficient! The “R” is the measure of thermal resistance; the higher the R-value, the greater the insulating effectiveness.  In Oklahoma, the R-value should be at least a 30 per code. We exceed this standard, making your new home operate more efficiently.

Navien Tankless Water Heater

Navien Tankless Water Heater

Enjoy the luxury of not running out of hot water. Tankless water heaters eliminate the extra cost of keeping gallons of hot water in a storage tank, which wastes energy. We install Navian tankless water heaters that are 97%-99% efficient, which are the highest rated Energy Star gas tankless water heaters. Also, the dual stainless-steel heat exchangers resist corrosion better than copper, which is commonly used in other tankless water systems.

Efficient HVAC

Efficient HVAC

Home Creations uses an HVAC system that includes a 96% efficient furnace and a 16 SEER AC unit (higher than code, which is 14 SEER). Mastic is used to seal all joints to make it even more energy efficient!
