Best places to celebrate the Fourth of July

Looking to make plans to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday? Take a look at some of these great events to add to your list of celebration activities.

 

Liberty Fest in Edmond

Liberty Fest, established in 1952, is a great event to take the family to celebrate Independence Day. This year, the weekend celebration will include the Liberty Sprint and a parade in downtown Edmond, and fireworks show at Hafer Park. Click here to learn more about Liberty Fest.  

 

A Celebration in the Heartland – Moore

For those who live in the south metro area, you will not want to miss the Celebration in the Heartland held at Buck Thomas Park in Moore. This event starts at 6:30 p.m. with fireworks starting around 9:30 p.m. There will be tons of fun, food, music, vendors, shopping and more.

 

Freedom Fest – Yukon

Freedom Fest has so much to offer for family fun in Yukon! This long-standing event has a packed schedule with so much to do. The Freedom Fest will host a car show, a triathlon, a children’s parade, a cornhole tournament and so much more! Mustang Firefighter’s Freedom Celebration

Come celebrate Independence Day during the Firefighters Freedom Celebration in Mustang. The Mustang Fire Department will be holding this event on Saturday, June 24th from 6:30 p.m. to dusk. Stars & Stripes Block Party – Boathouse District

Hosted by Riversport, the Starts and Stripes River Festival takes place from June 24 – July 1. During these dates, the park is open for a full day of rowing, paddling and boat racing. The fun continues Saturday, July 1 with activities, a movie for the family to watch on the lawn, Thunder Dock Diving Dogs, Navy Band and fireworks! Click here to learn more.

 

Red, White & Boom – Scissortail Park

This year’s Red, White and Boom will take place July, 3 at 8:30 p.m. at the Scissortail Park. This free concert will feature two talented vocalists. And of course, the night will end with a beautiful firework display!
