Home Creations' floor plans are designed with HERS Indexes ranging between 50 to 70; making our new home 50% to 30% more energy efficient than a typical new home (ie. with a HERS Index of 100). Let us explain how the HERS Index of our floor plans indicates its energy efficiency:

The HERS® Index is a registered trademark of the Residential Energy Services Network. The HERS Index rating is unique to a specific floor plan as designed, not as built, using RESNET-approved software, RESNET-determined inputs and certain assumed conditions. The typical new home HERS Index rating of 100 is the RESNET HERS Index reference home, which is built to the specifications of the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code. More information about the HERS Index rating can be found on RESNET's website. The typical resale home HERS Index rating of 130 is a U.S. Department of Energy rating per its EnergySmart Home Scale (SM).  (Source: RESNET website www.resnet.us/home-energy-ratings)
